Mental Health Politics - Where is Scientology Hiding? Recent Scientology actions, (and other possibile actions) in mental health politics include: The passage of the "Second Chance Act of 2004," (H.R. 4676) will create a federal task force for prison reentry programs, and include faith-based and other grants to state and local organizations. Scientology, and the group they occupy, the National Foundation for Women Legislators, (NFWL) have failed in attempts to promote the Scientology prison program, very coincidentally named "Second Chance." Will Scientology or legislators from the NFWL target funding from the passage of Second Chance Act of 2004 (HR 4676)? Scientology has resurrected one of the advocacy groups, the Citizens for Social Reform. They will use this group secularly to recruit unknowing citizens, although it's purpose is solely for advocating Scientology belief and policy. Scientology/CCHR scrambled to hide the fact that
they were using other organizations names to
oppose the
Senate's passage of the New Freedom Initiative for Mental Health Screening in the
Schools. Scientology was supportive of the Child Medication Safety Act of 2003, (S.1390 )
as shown on the NFWL website,
and explained in the original NFWL expose.
Scientology's Citizens Commission on Human Rights, (CCHR) is also circulating this memo with unusual suggestions when
