Citizens for Social Reform, (CSR) and Scientology Mobilize to Handle "Those Idiots" after 2004 Presidentital Election SCI-INFO REMINDER -- CSR PRESENTATION AND MEETING, NOV. 4 I figure the important thing is, not whether we vote for Bush, Kerry, Nader or whatsisname (the Libertarian candidate, Badnerick?) or Mickey Mouse, but whether we get active in creating the society we want by promoting our own issues. So I'd rather use this "air time" to promote the 2nd meeting of CSR (Citizens for Social Reform) on Nov. 4, because that's the one political grassroots organization that devotes itself to lobbying for pro-survival legislation. Only about 11 people came to the first meeting, in mid-Sept. I'd like to see more of you there on Nov. 4 to hear from our own lobbyist (Greg Mitchell) about our activities, past and to come and how you can participate. One major change since then is that a very bright and politically savvy member of our community (John Stanard) has decided tomake CSR his project. If you know John, you know that will mean some interesting action. This meeting will be a chance to get past the election (however it comes out) and relocate our basic agreements in the arena of politics. And work out what we are going to DO about it, now that "those idiots" have elected (pick one) president. So here is the message I posted earlier -- from John -- about the coming meeting: There's a very important briefing being hosted at the home of xx and xx xxx on Thursday, Nov. 4th starting at 7:30 PM. It's purpose is to brief you about the new political action group called, Citizens for Social Reform (CSR). It is organized to lobby lawmakers for effective social reform in the areas of drug, crime and education. Founded by several Scientologists in California a few years ago, CSR is now nationally organized and is forming a DC chapter. It's president and co-founder, Don Pearson, is personally going to give the briefing. Time: Nov. 4, 2004 at 7:30pm Place: Home of XXXX Everyone is welcome. CSR doesn't care what political persuasion you aspire to, if any. This group is ISSUE centric, not party centric. For more details, see the message below I received from John Stanard, who is helping out with the DC CSR chapter: CSR Info - By now you're no doubt heard all the stats about the political influence of the drug companies and the psychiatric industry and their penetration of the government" about the billions of tax dollars channeled in that direction for decades and so on. I'm not going to repeat all that here. But I do want to tell you about a new group that is now forming up nationally to counter the drug/psych lobby called Citizens for Social Reform (CSR). Finally there is a way you can--at your own acceptable gradient--directly help spread positive influence into the political scene. If you're like many people, you may find the whole topic of politics and government a little overwhelming. In that context, here's a great quote from LRH: "Little by little one can make anything go right by HCOPL 18 Feb 1972, The Top Triangle The purpose of this briefing on Nov. 5th at the xxx house is to spread the word about CSR. It's power will be directly related to the size of its member base. Here's a little more about CSR: * CSR was founded in 2001 by a group of Scientologists and other like-minded individuals concerned with the escalating social ills in society. * CSR's purpose is to work within the field of public policy to bring about more effective and humane solutions to these social ills of illiteracy, criminality, substance abuse and the general decay of character. * CSR is a not-for-profit, non-partisan organization that seeks only to forward a message of help that any social personality can agree to. Group members span the spectrum from conservative to liberal. We are ISSUE focused and belong to no political party. * Web site: www.citizensforsocialreform.org Currently, few government leaders know about our tech/solutions. That's because we haven't been playing the political game correctly. We have the solutions to society's ills, yet we've been watching the government spend billions of our tax dollars on social reform programs that are either destructive or just don't work. It's time for us to form a group, play the political game, and get our solutions supported by government leaders so our tax dollars fund programs that actually work.
Come to this briefing and you'll find out exactly how the above can be accomplished, and how you can help.
The format for this briefing will be:
* Greg Layton: Director Washington, D.C. Chapter CSR. Introduction
* Don Pearson: President CSR. What is CSR, why is it needed, how it will influence public policy, what it means to you and how you can help.
* Greg Mitchell: Greg is the Director of Government Affairs for CSR. His firm represents CSR in Washington, D.C. on all lobbying activities. Among his other clients are the Church of Scientology and ABLE Int. Greg entered was previously the Chief of Staff for former U.S. Congressman Jim Rogan. In that capacity, he became very experienced in how the political process works--and he's going to share the knowledge with us at this briefing.
Please RSVP to John Stanard at xxx
Hope to see you there. It's time to play the game to win!
The CSR is not a new Politcal Action Committee. While the outward goal of the CSR looks to address illiteracy, crime and substance abuse, (through Scientology programs promoted as secular) this group actively supports the Scientology belief, that psychiatry is to be eradicated. Scientology's anti-psychiatry front group, the Citizen's Commission on Human Rights, (CCHR) as well as other Scientology front groups like the CSR, work towards reciprocal interests while attracting unknowing citizens. Without its name in the forefront, Scientology spreads its duplicitous base towards the same goal - undetected.
In 1998, Scientologist Don Pearson, (mentioned above) who works for, and promotes Scientology teachings in a government information technology business called "e.Republic," established a CSR group in California. At that time, there was a government-funded database being promoted by the California Board of Pharmacy that would track the use of psychiatric drugs, and doctors would be able to access the network. A legislative supporter of the computer database and of other mental health programs, was California Assemblywoman Helen Thomson (D-Davis.)
Scientology "didn't like her education agenda because they perceived it as promoting the use of psychiatric drugs...Corporation records show that Don Pearson opened a local chapter of the Citizen's Commission in 1998, and Pearson also set up a political action committee called the Association of Citizens for Social Reform, designed to 'play offense' in eliminating public support for social, educational and mental health programs that are intrusive, force-based or damaging to individual awareness and competence."
Excerpts from the article, "Scientology, Inc" as reported on August 23, 2001 in the Sacremento News and Review.
There is no mistake in seeing what Scientology's agenda in the group, the Citizens for Social Reform, (CSR) was in 1998 or, as in the recent letter above to Scientologists, announcing the CSR for the "first time." It's not new to Scientologists who carry the belief and goal to eradicate psychiatry and oppose mental health programs, particularly dealing with education. The purpose is the same now as it was then - to target and attack mental health programs - and implement Scientology programs, to unknowing people, using different names.
"The goal of the department [of governmental affairs] is to bring the
government and hostile philosophies or societies into a state of complete
compliance with the goals of Scientology. This is done by a high level
ability to control and in its absence by a low level ability to overwhelm.
Introvert such agencies. Control such agencies."
L. Ron Hubbard, evidence from Church of Spiritual Technology v. U.S.,
November 22, 1989.
Five Scientology programs with identical components - being a sauna detoxification and application of Scientology teachings - are being promoted for use in criminal rehabilitation, drug rehabilitation, alternative education, for firefighters, and as an alternative health, body detoxification listed in a Scientology book, sold under the category of "nutrition and dietary." Please be advised of the various names for the identical Scientology detoxification/purification programs being promoted to legislators and others:

"There are a lot of opinions out there as to what is wrong with Earth, 1995. But if you really want to eliminate those problems all you have to do is work for the objectives that we, as members of the IAS, (emphasis - International Association of Scientologists) have set for the year 2000: Objective One - place Scientology at the absolute forefront of Society. Objective Two - eliminate psychiatry in all its forms. Let's get rid of psychiatry, and let's bring Scientology to every man, woman and child on this planet."

YOUR 'MOMENT OF TRUTH'
Dear friend of CCHR,
I know you would like to do everything possible to back up
management's ongoing efforts to clear this planet. A key vector in this
strategy is, of course, removing planetary suppression. In a word, that means getting rid of destructive psychiatric programs, treatments and philosophies.
At CCHR International we have a number of plans and projects
coordinated to do just that. One of these is to see that the psychs are
...deprived of their unearned millions in appropriations..." (see "The
Fight for Freedom" in the recent Ron Mag, Freedom Fighter). A
terrific opportunity has just arisen that will help us do just that. There is an organization called the National Organization of Women
Legislators (NOWL), and as the name implies, this group is made up of top woman legislators from local, state and the Federal Government.
Senators, governors, congresswomen and others are members of this group.
They meet periodically and hear from speakers that they consider have issues of importance for their group. Their last conference drew 800 attendees. Their President recently called CCHR and asked if I would address their next meeting. Needless to say, I accepted.
This is a magnificent opportunity for CCHR to get its message delivered directly to some of the top policy makers in this country.
As with all such projects, energy is needed to make this fly. I want
CCHR to become a member of this group so we can get our message out to this very important public on an ongoing basis about what psychiatry is doing to our schools, our courts and our civilization as a whole.
The meeting that I have been asked to address is in Washington, D.C.
on February 4th. We need $l0.000 to become members of this group and to cover travel and lodging expenses associated with the conference. Ideally, I could bring others to help enlighten the numerous opinion leaders that will be at this conference. I will only be able to do this with your help.
Two years ago we started a similar project with the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC). ALEC is a national organization made up of legislators from every state as well as some federal legislators who meet and draft "model Legislation" for every state. The bean return for that has been enormous! CCHR has worked its way up the conditions at ALEC and recently got an article published by ALEC in opposition to mandated mental health parity which went to key state legislators who deal with health issues in their respective states. In addition, the ALEC membership has opened the door to meeting numerous legislators and other opinion leaders from around the country and
enlightening them on psychiatric fraud and patient abuse.
These kinds of comm lines are invaluable and having the opportunity
to expand them to the members of the National Organization of Women Legislators is one we really do not want to pass up. Our target for the year 2000 is coming fast. We need these comm lines badly, and I'm asking you to help us with your financial support. We urgently need your tax-deductible donation in the amount of $500 or above! For every person who contributes $1000 or more, a personal commendation will be written from myself to your ethics files.
This is your 'moment of truth'. Come the year 2000, I would like to
be able to say that you helped CCHR carry out LRH's intentions as above. We need this now! Joining this organization and attending this upcoming conference will open numerous doors for CCHR to cut psychiatric funding in the coming years.
DO THIS TODAY!
